A small studio making iOS apps.
Arzen Research is an independent software studio. At the moment it builds one thing: FPL Now, a matchday app for Fantasy Premier League managers, launching for the 2026/27 season. The statistical modeling behind the app is where the "Research" in the name comes from.
About
The work splits in two. The app side is native Swift: SwiftUI, Live Activities, no cross-platform layer. The modeling side is Python. Player projections are fitted on past seasons and backtested walk-forward, so the model is only ever scored on matches it hasn't seen.
Not every idea survives that. A few things that sounded obviously useful didn't beat a simple baseline when we measured them, and they're not in the app.
There are no ads or trackers in anything we ship, and no account to create. FPL Now connects with a public team ID.

FPL Now Launching for the 2026/27 season
A matchday app for Fantasy Premier League managers. Your team's live points sit on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, alerts can be turned off per event type, and projections come with the reasoning shown, not just a number.
Research
The forecasting engine behind FPL Now is backtested on the 2025/26 season with no lookahead. When we publish an accuracy figure it carries its sample size and a naive baseline, because a correlation number with nothing next to it doesn't tell you much.
During the season, projections are frozen before each deadline and graded after the matches, in public. A bad gameweek stays in the record too.
